My little shop project, today, is facing and drilling some aluminum spacers for my daughter. Her lathe is temporarily out of service.
I would like to unload my new to me steel cabinet. I will wait for my son to get home. This is a two person job.

The electric drive motor in my wife's paper shredder let the smokie out. I kept the waste bin and took the shredder head to the shop. It took about 15 minutes to make a drive adapter for the shredder. I mounted it in my Myford Super 7 lathe and ran the shredder head at 3250 rpm. It made a droning sound like a jet engine powering up. After amusing myself with turning a few sheets paper into dust, I got out my Shop Vac and cleaned up the area. 93384
At 3250 rpm, the shredder started to come apart on the aluminum foil. :t3717:

That sounds like fun! I had a paper shredder a while back that started arcing. Never thought to experiment around with it. Just got rid of it quick before it set the house on fire.

Several Years ago, I bought all of the small parts bins from a warehouse. They were making "big" changes. There were hundreds of bins. I bought enough bins to fill the canopy and box of my truck , the back seat and the passenger side. My son counted over 400 parts bins.
I sold a bunch of the odd bins and kept the others. Today, I decided to try the in storage bins in my cabinet. I bought it a week ago. It is always a good thing when there is a good fit.
I found some perfect fit ACRO MILLS bins on Amazon this afternoon. These bins will be here in the next few days.
It will be transfer time from the old bins to this unit.
I can get 20 of the 6X4 inch bins in the five spaces in each drawer. I have some ACRO MILLS 12X4 inch bins coming.

Not in my shop, but my garage. I ran a bunch of conduit for light and a garage door open. 45 years since I last did it, I can still make it all line up when I was done! Unlike Harvey I don't have a "Hickey" I got in high school, but did get my fathers collection of conduit benders.
I have lived here for almost 20 years and I am finely making the garage useful for it's intended purpose.

Anything above 1 1/4 or may be even 1' I'm buying pre bent! I am not a young buck anymore! I forgot how much easier it is to pull cables with two people, doing by my self sucks!
I have to run some sched 80 1 1/2" from a Jct box to the building, that I going to wimp out and use PVC. Not far but it is all going to be done by hand.

In November of 2020 I got a new barn, 40' x 60' with a 14' ceiling and an 18' x 60' attic storage Then in Jan and Feb of 2021 I built the interior of my shop, 40' x 36' and the rest is storage. The shop is heated while the storage side is not and I purposely put the stairs to the attic in the non-heated side. In may 0f 2021 I got the lift installed and have been setting up the shop since. I did a few projects in the mean time for a few friends and got them out. Almost forgot, in May of 2020, we bought our new house and moved because it had the space for my shop.

Nice! 1st rule is no matter what size you build, it will be 1/2 of what you need! Like the law of gases, stuff will fill all the available space provided!
