A Cummins has much less potential to become a problem. The 7.3 is a bulky engine and the width can be a situation in an L or R body. I put a 6.9 in an R120 and there was some serious body modifications, but nothing you would have trouble with. I am not a fan of the very complicated HEUI injection system. With this level of complication comes the high cost of repairs. Having said this, the only PS I would ever be convinced to use would be a 7.3. I like the sound of a good running PS. The older idi, NA 6.9 and 7.3 were simple engines and sounded really good.
I bought the BANKS aircleaner cover on Craigslist. I would buy another in a New York Second.
