During the civil war confederate sympathizers tried to take the US flag down in the towns central plaza. Among the people who stopped them was notable frontier scout and US Army officer Kit Carson. For that action the town was honored by the President and designated a site where the American flag could be flown 24-7.

Oh so you did not hear about the kidnapping plot and ensuing arrests or that the Dems and the many working class Americans and working poor they represent are in dire need of affordable healthcare? Some consider Bernie Sanders to be more radical left but I thought he made that perfectly clear in primary season that was his goal.
