And you thought you had a bad day

They were unloading the transformer, some bright spark thought if the tug kept the barge pressed into the shore, everything would work out, except when the weight came off, the barge rode up and moved.

Kinda like the ships captain that flooded the hold that still had a multi-million dollar generator still in it! They didn't catch that one until it got to the railhead and they opened the container and water flooded out!
Sorry, don't have a picture of that screw-up.

Re: And you thought you had a bad day

We used to have our Catalina sailboat moored in the Fisherman's Cove Marina in West Vancouver. One time we were returning to dock, after a day of sailing Georgia Straight, my wife decided that she would jump to the dock and tie the boat off. Under the equal and opposite reaction rule, the bow moved away from the dock as she pushed off. She missed the dock and hit the bottom, 10 feet below. I reversed the Diesel and in a second a couple of guys had her on the dock. She was more upset about her glasses being lost. Of course it was my fault, and you thought you had a bad day.

A REALLY BAD DAY

An old guy, from this neighbourhood, used to shop at our Buy Lo foods. Every day he would arrive with his pocket sized dog and buy a large can of dog food. This went on for several years and soon the check-out girls started to give the old guy some grief about the tiny dog and the big can of food. The senior said, " This is good food, I fry it up with a few onions and this is how I make my lunch." The girls told the old guy that the dog food may not be a good choice and he should pay special attention to his health. One of the check-out girls said the dog food might kill him.
Very suddenly the tiny dog and the old man stopped coming to the store. After about a week an elderly lady with the tine dog was spotted at a checkout. The old lady told the checkout girl that her husband had died. The girl asked, " Was it the dog food that killed him?". The elderly widow said, "Oh no, I don't think it was the dog food. He was laying on the couch and watching the Super Bowl Half Time and when Lady GAGA stated to sing, he leaned forward to lick himself and fell of the couch and his neck was broken when he hit the coffee table.
This is an alternate truth.

I like[d] them too. That Jay Ward was one warped individual, back in the early 90's I bought a VHS set of Rocky & friends and I got more of the content than when I was a kid. Seems it wasn't truly written for children.
It came with a baseball cap that had Bullwinkle and "Wossamotta U" on it, I made the mistake of leaving in my tractor while on vacation, needless to say some AH liked it too. :t0119:
