I have heard the same thing. The only one I have been around is a Oil field winch truck in Rock Springs, WY. It is in fairly sad shape but still save-able.
Ya, I'd like the whole thing, truck trailer, jeep and crane!

Looks like Ferd TT. The boxes and rack are to die for. The photograph looks much more recent until you see the boy with the wooden wagon in the background. I give this truck an A+. The real deal!

Plated grill shell. Probably late 1920s A Series. Just beautiful!

Someone put a proper rear axle in that truck.
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have
