Re: 1941 Mack

Surfing the net...looking for Mack ED posts...found a guy who says he has Mack ED PICKUPS. As in plural.
I call BS!
I've never, ever seen ONE. Never mind multiples. That's why I'm MAKING one.
Sounds to me like his BS doesn't know how rare they are, whether Reo or Mack.

Late 1930s E Series Mack.

On the way to Central CA from Montana. WITH E Series grille, included.
Hopefully without the basketball sized wasp nest that was in the wheel. :(

There is no doubt, Lloyd!
I wonder how far I'll get on a Mack ED clone?

I wish I had even a smidgen of the drive you do. I am on the path to simplify life, some things will go away, not sure which ones or even if maybe all. I want to travel, and Stuff/Things/Projects really do not fit that scenario.

The "drive" took a big hit this year, Lloyd!
Weeds were still growing tall in July. Then it got hot (105F+) until just a week or so ago. I also got sick this Spring.
I've been cutting down dead "drought trees" for over a year. About thirty of them.

Re: 1941 Mack

I hope that if I can get my "act" together, I will be able to travel, and perhaps stop by quite a few of the Members locations to visit for a short time. At least say hello and put a face to a name. At this time, it is NOT my intention to set up Home in several different "parks" and sit. I can do that right here. Find a reasonable RV and go where I want. Hopefully you will get adequate moisture to green up and keep alive the rest of your vegetation that you have and want. Getting sick is not a fun thing either. Relatively healthy, however surgery on wife's knee, and my shoulder replacement has shown us that aging sucks!
We need these Young folks to get into and stay into old vehicles, no matter which direction they go. We need people who are willing to "learn" the trades to keep things going. My hat is off to all who do this kind of stuff.
Take care and look forward to seeing what you do with this build.

Re: 1941 Mack

I agree in theory about letting go of stuff.

These old "shapes" get me so excited, though. Especially a totally stock COMMERCIAL survivor with
door lettering, etc.

Old Tow trucks, panel trucks, Bell Telephone, contractor-owned pickups, etc..all just too cool.

I'm stuck in "old truck land" for some time to come.
