Mercury On The Road

Street legal now so I took the Merc on it's first real trip since 1969 when it went into "retirement". Parked it along with the other real antiques at the museum car show. Made it home without incident. Averaged over 15 mpg which was a pleasant surprise.

Nice video Ralph! Looks like it was a fun day. I'm sure getting to show it off was a nice reward for the time you've put into. And you get to listen to all the stories from people who used to own one or knew someone who did.

Those who grew up or were already buying gas in the sixties might recall Esso's "tiger in your tank" ad campaign. They handed out these tiger tails to the customers for a while. I happened to save a tail or two.
