Re: pulmonary embolism

December will be two years ago my dad passed from cancer at 80. It was a hard 6 months from diagnosis to passing. Such an insidious disease. Only better than a sudden passing, like an auto accident. Enjoy what we have everyday. Best to you Nikki and your friend. Hector

Re: pulmonary embolism

Why am I waiting? Why am I waiting? Why am I waiting.
I'm waiting for a nurse to pull the tube. My pants are on, my son is here and the nurse went for coffee break,....... an hour ago.
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

Re: pulmonary embolism

Someone failed to notice a heart ultrasound order until I had one foot outside my room. So....... I am booked in for 14:30h. It is 10:44h. My son came to get me and at $12/hour, he only paid for one hour. He just got back from paying for another hour when we were told about the missed ultrasound.
The Doctor has signed my release order 90 minutes ago.
I will remain calm.

One of the interns went to school with my son. The two of them were on the same U15 soccer team.

Brian

What a bummer just when you thought you where going that bloody handbrake stuck on. Better put a sticky note in the file to get that fixed.

Hey keep forgetting to ask how many of the trolleys in there could you improve on with your skills.

Stay strong my friend and DONT overdo things when you get home.

Re: pulmonary embolism

Home at last. I am a little unstable after a week of flat-backing-it, but it sure feels good to be home. This was an over all good and positive experience. The system works well.
Now for that peanut butter sandwich.

Re: pulmonary embolism

...and finally time to get some good coffee. Here's a cup of Shop Coffee to you:
Shop Coffee.JPG

You need two ceramic steel camp cups. In the first place 2-3 heaping teaspoons of whatever - Gevalia Espresso Roast in this case. Fill the second with water and heat it up to about 75-80 degrees C with a blowtorch, then pour it into the first. Mix it up and let it sit for maybe 10-15 seconds, not long at all. Pour it back into the second cup thru whatever mesh screen is available, like an old kitchen strainer. Fling the grounds into the garden for fertilizer. Done. Enjoy.

This is kind of a take on cowboy coffee and it comes out pretty thick, just like I like it. No creamer, please. I prefer it black like my little heart...
