Re: BREAKFAST

One of my 3 remaining friends has oat meal made with water every morning and has had the same B'fast for nearly 60 years. No sugar, no salt ,just rolled oats boiled in water. I think you have lots of excitement at b'fast, by comparison.
My wife ate chocolate chip cookies for b'fast, when we first met. Now after 38 years of marriage and my best efforts, she has oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and black coffee for her first meal of the day. ;÷}»

Re: BREAKFAST

I'm making Belgium Waffles for b'fast this morning. While I like real maple syrup alot, we made a dozen litres of rhubarb spread that goes really well on waffles. A shot of whipped cream tops it off nicely. We buy breakfast sausages from a local German Deli where the owner makes everything he sells. Costco have a very acceptable b'fast sausage, made locally, and very reasonably priced.

We make breakfast sausage patties,,don't bother with stuffing in casing as we are usually only whipping up a few pounds at a time and freezing them. You can make your own bratwurst patties easy enough,,lots of recipes out there....I have a large meat grinder so I get pork/beef roasts on sale and process them. Buying hamburger is always a crapshoot as you don't really know what is added/

Re: BREAKFAST

I liked a good egg sandwich in the mornings, if I have more time some eggs Benedict or biscuits and gravy, if I'm in a hurry a bowl of cheerios will suffice.

Re: BREAKFAST

Biscuits and gravy are on my bucket list. I've never seen them on a restaurant menu here. I'll look into on You Tube, later.
My cousin's son likes Fruit Loops with Cool Aid for breakfast. He is nearly 40.

Come south of the Mason/Dixon line. Biscuits and gravy are a staple for any meal in some locations!

Re: BREAKFAST

The one caveat about biscuits and gravy is that the gravy must have pork sausage.
