After 42 days of intense rehab, I am home. I have a long way to go, and the progress so far is encouraging me to work harder. I was able to walk from the curb to my home without assistance, albeit slowly.

Glad to hear you can make the walk and are home. Life always looks better from your own window!

Try to be careful but, keep moving it's the best thing for you and no it's not fun.

I am taking a short break. Today is one of those days when everything hurts and moving is anything but pleasant. I have to get this done. I had a good sleep, last night. I will not be in the shop for a while.
A contractor is working on the final touches of a bathroom renovation. Our dog is trying to figure it all out.

Google British Columbia weather for a real surprise. We are having flooding and all of the highways are closed. Fuel is being rationed and supplies are running out. Food and other necessary items are being air lifted into communities blocked by flooding and washed out roads. The park where we have our annual Ford picnic is under 9 feet of flooding.

That's pretty amazing, alright. I can only imagine what it's like to have so many road closures all at the same time. I saw the news that the Coquihalla Highway may be closed for 2 months...

I talked to MAGIHC Mike in Merritt, BC, this morning. He is high and dry up the side of a hill. He is able to look down on the City of Merritt. He said, from what he can see, much of the city is under water. Rod, the owner of SCOUT PLUSS, is surrounded by rushing water. Rod has a bunch of Old IHC trucks and Scouts and parts that are getting close to the flood water. Hope, BC, where Rod lives is completely cut off from the outside.
My wife just looked outside and she says the rain is still in full monsoon. Our new $40k drain tile system is operating near capacity. We live near the top of a steep hill. The rain water runs down our street and looks like a curb to curb river. The spray goes high above the parked cars after hitting the tires.
I have been around for nearly 76 years and I do not remember there being any weather like this. Maybe I just forgot.
