I hope to be going home soon. The nurses are very kind. The food is good. This is Canada, health system is free.

Re: Virtual Front Porch

I hope to be parking my ‘55 in the shop for a while coming up soon. The steering is pretty sloppy (shafts are deeply grooved). My plan is to simultaneously update to P/S, modern tie rod ends, add a self tensioning serpentine belt, electric fans, A/C and hydro boosted brakes. Oh and I’ve got to pull the cylinder head. I’ve got a sneaking suspicion the exhaust valve seats arE NOT in fact hardened. I have to make roughly .010” valve adjustments every few thousand miles. Only on the exhausts… the intakes are holding adjustment clearances perfectly.

Re: Virtual Front Porch

Thanks for the well wishes. Progress is slow. The latest word is, i will be transfered to a rehabilitation facility this Friday. The delay was from a covid19 situation.
I need some sleep. The hospital has many ways to wake me up, 24 hours of every day.

Re: Virtual Front Porch

I have been in rehabilitation for 9 days. I am having a good recovery. The food is great and
the staff are fantastic. My target discharge date is November, 24,2021. I am on track for an earlier release.
My problem started a few years ago when I fell on ice. I pinched a nerve when I knocked my spine out of order. It turned into paralyzed of both legs. I am well on my way to nearly normal.
