I am just trying to get along and keep peace. There are several other neighbors who are less forgiving and complain often, with little provocation. :t0117:

Stories like this remind me of how lucky I am to have hundreds of acres of space as a "buffer zone"

Yep, I get along with my neighbor, we sometimes run into each other as much as twice a year! Sometimes not so much.
I did live for over 5 years in Chicago, while it is not all bad memories', I don't miss it at all. I got to know many Vietnam vets and listened to some of the best music, but I was miserable.

Re: Virtual Front Porch

Just as I was starting to think all was going to be OK, the Police arrived and there was a lot of shouting next door and one of the renters left in handcuffs. A fortnight ago this guy arrived in a Ram 1500 4X4 with expired insurance stickers. He parked the truck and possibly never looked at it again. The Police stopped to ask if the truck was mine. I said it was not mine. they told me it was stolen and used in a crime.
This neighbourhood has been peaceful and mostly crime free for 40 years. The crime seems to follow the property speculators and the renters they let space to.
There is a Porsche parked at the front, just off our property line. This Porsche looks like it chased a fart through a keg of nails.

Re: Virtual Front Porch

Might be time to find more peaceful habitation. Something with a nice huge shop and at least 1/8 mile between neighbors?

Re: Virtual Front Porch

On Sat Feb 06, 2016, Lloyd sent me a Metro "T" shirt from d.valentino The SnapOn Metro guy. When I got home my wife tossed the "T"shirt in the wash with some other laundry. We never saw the "T"shirt again, until yesterday. It had slipped off a hanger and fallen down and behind a shoe rack. We pulled out a new pair of Harley Davidson Boots for my son to try and the lost "T" came out with the boots.

Re: Virtual Front Porch

I have tried mine on, and put it away. I will have to dig it out to take with us. That might also be a place to go check out. Not real thrilled driving in California, pulling a 40' Fifth wheel. Definitely do not want to get in the way of the folks who are misplaced by fires.
