My 2002 Ram Diesel 4X4 is ready for pick up. The bill is $5357.32. This is about what I expected. I appreciate a good shop and one that I can trust. The work was done by Canadian Red Seal mechanics who have done a full apprenticeship here. It is a local business with local ownership and locally sourced employees.

I was best man at a wedding about 40 years ago. The bride and groom were persons I worked with. She was and is a real sweetheart. I phoned them yesterday and she answered in her usual cheerful manner. She went on to explain that she has stage 4 cancer.
This hit me very hard. I have had a loose but long friendship with this couple.

News like this is a firm reminder that life can end without any warning. I know this lady was a healthy eater who never smoked and kept herself in good physical shape. I wish I could do something to make this better.

Why did the chicken cross the road??
Because it identified as a human that day and everyone knows humans however they identify themselves and whatever their gender is that day can always cross the road.

We have been suffering a killer heat wave, here, in British Columbia. While our home was very comfortable, at 20c, because we have a heat pump system, the outside temperatures were at End-of-the-world hot. The temperature on our patio was 51c. The temperature of the BBQ was 78c with the gas off. The, in-the-shade temperature remained at 44c all day and at 02:00h the temperature was 35c.
Years ago, I bought a RAYTEC laser heat gun. My son had some fun shooting temperatures.
It was too hot for the dog to go outside, across the patio, so she had to be carried to the grass for her "business".
I called my friend MAGIHC Mike, in Merritt. He said the temperature was mid 40c at midday and reached 50c.
A stupid mother was arrested yesterday after it was reported that her two children were left in a locked car. The news reported that 20 persons had died of heat related complications, in this city. :h21014:
