Re: WHATS IN YOUR TOOL BOX?

I went to pick up the sand blasted drill press pieces just after lunch. The blaster must have had vision problems because he had missed more than a dozen places. I asked to have the job redone. there were some raised voices in the shop just before the de-do started. Second time was the charm. My son and I unloaded the parts and assembled them on my SNAP-ON 6 wheel creeper after fitting a piece of plywood to the creeper. The Kid put the first coat of paint on the drill press and it is looking not too bad. Pictures tomorrow after another coat of paint.

Isn't it amazing what some folks try to pass off as "done". Not saying it was the shop owner, but perhaps an employee. I run into this often in my area, and too many people let the shops get away with it. Glad that you got it done to your specifications. Look forward to the pictures.

BORING MACHINE PICTURES:
This old cast iron appears to soak up the paint on the first coat. It starts off looking green after the first coat and in an hour the drill looks grey again. The second coat is looking better and a third and final coat will probably be the charm. The colour is RUSTOLEUM SAFETY GREEN. All of the fasteners are being treated with gun metal bluing.

Looking GOOD! Did you have some pie while the paint was drying?

We had something baked with freshly picked plums it. Now I'm afraid to cough or sneeze. Until this "passes" I'll be afraid to leave the property. So, don't phone me, I need both hands, one to cover my mouth when I sneeze and the other, well, you know...............

Re: WHATS IN YOUR TOOL BOX?

It was perfect weather, today, for chasing parts with my motorcycle. Fastenal have finally hired a female parts person and she really knows her stuff. The afternoon was spent fielding questions from visitors and building a rolling base for a drill press.
The old MILLERMATIC 200 was in good tune and it made me look really good once again.

"Not without a washer," the nut told the machine screw.
All I ever get is respect. A little flirting, now and then, could be nice. I took, what I thought was a homeless person to breakfast. She never stopped talking about her Volvo. I was thinking that maybe she wasn't too bad off if she could afford one of those. My hearing must not be so good, it turns out that she doesn't have a car. I'm confused.

Re: WHATS IN YOUR TOOL BOX?

The drill press assembly is on hold for a few daze because I damaged my back when I lifted the drill press over a 4 inch curb. Stupid me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
