I do not have anything to match that. Good deal.

Re: What Was YOUR First Tool Set?

Recently, I was low ebay bidder on an early 1920s or 1930s Snap-On "B-12" tool kit. I'm still mad I lost it.
They must be rare...never seen another.

I've decided to replicate it as best as I can.

These are all early Snap-On tools including 5/8" drive stuff.

Re: What Was YOUR First Tool Set?

80-100 year old fixed socket wrenches made by Walden Worcester, Blackhawk, BOG and others are some of the LEAST expensive antique tools on Ebay. It seems like everyone "our age" had some of them in our tool sets. There must be millions of these tools out there.
Here I have a nice representation of Walden Worcester. These look like 10 years old not 100 years old.
Good ol' Ebay.

Re: What Was YOUR First Tool Set?

If I had thought of it first, this might have been my first tool. This is a real alcohol fueled, steam powered device and part of a collection.
If this were a modern tool, it would been labeled with many safety cautions like:
Keep out of reach of .............................
HOT SURFACES. May cause burns
Operate only in well ventilated area
Made in China.

Anyone like to take a shot at the vintage of this Ken-Tool truck lug-nut tool?
It's 3/4" drive.
1940s?
It's cool! On ebay...

Re: What Was YOUR First Tool Set?

I don't have a use for it so it would be more clutter for me to deal with. I have too much stuff that I don't use, now.
What I really need is a new Battery for my TOSHIBA SATELLITE A60 with XP. XP is the preferred operating system for the Electromotive ECM I have to program.

Re: What Was YOUR First Tool Set?

I found a Canadian company offering the battery I want at a competitive price. I ordered the battery, paid with PayPal. I was sent a confirmation, and other important information in less than a minute. The battery will be in my mail on Friday, this week.
I did look at eBay as part of my search.
Who would have thought that MS XP would still be preferred for some applications. I just bought an unopened XP with SP2.
About ten years ago, when I was still driving my R120, I bought a beautiful pressed aluminum laptop carry case from a Craigslist seller. My note to
myself suggests I paid $40. All of this old stuff goes back into service.
