Not on one of my jobs but I watched a guy nail his hand to the floor with a 16d nail from a pneumatic nail gun. The worst part was all the squawking when the other crew members pulled it out with a crowbar.

Today we had the crane lift , I asked for the certification and the operator complied.
The crane crew consisted of one operator and two riggers.
I had a total of three electricians on site along with the crane folks. we had a formal Safety Meeting sharing
our positive experiences and some close calls we all have had --> The empahases was on preventing recurrences.

I was very impressed with Biggies unwavering commitment to safety. (Biggie Crane and Rigging Inc.)
I have use them before and will do so again in the future.
No better feeling than setting a 12,000 pound transformer with no smashed toes.

Thanks for listening in -sm

I've set a lot of large steel and wooden beams over the years. A good crane operator is worth his weight in gold. When your three or four stories up and have do a precision set a good operator will make it easy and with a bad operator you can get knocked right off the top of a building.
