Re: Early Garage Scenes

CB, there's a huge range of old tire-changing stuff...from huge hex "hubcap wrenches" that were really for hubcaps, to gear operated rim-grabbing tools that suck in the split rim so the lock bead will come off, to every kind of tire spoon under the sun, to sophisticated tire patching centers, to tire spreaders, to a hundred year old Dudley wire wheel truing stand and wire wheel spoke-adjuster wrenches.
That's a lot of stuff to be aware of!
I'm sure I'm missing a lot.

I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

Great bones, huh Nikki?
Lots of cool stuff to be dug up. I wonder where HIS junk pile is?
Thanks! An environment like the "after" view must help promote "clean" work.

It may have been this site that I saw one of these . Not enough can be said about what we have lost . Its not all together the methods by which things were done ,that we have lost , it was the character of the people who did those things . Just look at these guys ,,,wow .

Re: Early Garage Scenes

I think Henry Ford had disdain for his employees. He certainly did for his son, Edsel!
That's why he had a vicious and powerful goon squad to quell strikes and unrest...
The PEOPLE working for him were cut from the same cloth as my dad and mom. Do your job (well) and shut up.
We will never see their like, again.
