Electrical question

I have an original 6 volt Ford Model A ah-oo-gah horn, that I'd like to use on my current ride, which is 12 volt. Can anyone give me some reliable opinion on what resistor I need to use, to be sure I don't burn up that 6 volt unit ?? The name of a supplier and an actual part number would really be helpful !

Thanks !!!!

Re: Electrical question

Short blasts of the AH-OH-GA horn will not damage it. You will discover the horn motor gets up to over-speed very quickly. Short blasts with a minute separation are OK.
I would consider selling the OEM Ford horn and buy a new horn. The OEM horn is probably worth over $100.
