International 9300 Restoration

Well this project was already completed, but I figured I would show some pictures here of the before, during, and after!

Here's the before picture. It's a 1989 International 9300. It has a Caterpillar 3406B, with an Eaton/Fuller 13 speed. It was the first truck that my dad ever bought brand new, and a family friend who passed away drove the truck for 8 years. So it has some sentimental value. At the time of this picture it had been out of service for 4 years. I went out in the dead of winter, put some new batteries in it, and she fired right up like she was running the day before.

The hydraulic cylinder was shot, and the dump box had seen better days. So a decision was made.



So off she goes!

Fifth wheel plate on, old tool box removed, new wheels and tires on.

We wanted to keep the pintle for moving stackers for our screening plant. So this is what I came up with to mount the tail lights and the mudflaps.
