Me and the R160, actually doing some work in this video. Shot with the Gopro Hero for some different views. Sounds like fourth gear synchro is gone but otherwise no major problems. I really need to take that Holley carb apart to see why it won't idle.

Great video, Ralph, with that gopro! Love the way it puts you right there. The old truck runs pretty good. Well, 'cept for that minor holley tweak! Hows the old girl on oil?

I could watch that all day. About how fast was max speed on that trip? Makes me want to take an old vehicle for a drive. Thanks, Don

I'd guess 35 mph maybe top speed in the video. It looks faster on a narrow driveway like mine. One thing I have noticed is the R has a bit higher rear gearing than my S160. Seems like the R160 would be turning at lower rpm cruising down the road at the same mph. Maybe in the next video I will take it out on the "real road" to get a little more speed out of it. :D
Manfred, I don't recall ever adding oil to the engine of that BD264. It is a transplant from a newer IH. Has the narrow pulleys. I had to buy a new fan belt for it recently.

Re: Old Yellow Truck

The other thing that struck me was that the road looked pretty rough in places and the camera didn't bounce like you'd think. Was it that smooth of a ride? Don
