hotrod or not

Ok guys, I dont think this 3/4 ton truck is considered a hot rod, but you guys can be the judge, this was actually on the old site mod section, I see theres alot of new guys that might get a kick out of it.
Have fun,

Kevin, if you get the chance, a complete list of the things you did to build that "beast" might interest someone else to do the same. Just a thought.

Yes I did Jim,
One of the guys posted on the old site a couple of years ago about the turbo guy has been making turbos for IH tractor for 5 or 6 years, Come spring I will drive up to Big Lake and take you for a spin. I thought you would have seen that in the old Mod section, over 4200 views, check out the video link above or pasted below.

That beast is an absolute monster. Kind of what I'd like to do with one of my R trucks. I have an SD 220 and SD240 in a pair of '53s. 8-) I also noticed you left it 6 volt BONUS !!!!! :D PLEASE do a thread on how you did it ;)

A few year ago, one of the guys, I recall Goose posted a guy whomade turbos for IH tractors. I got interested called the turbo guy, -Keystone Turbo LLC- this is the first IH truck he did, there is one other in Iowa. Anyway, my truck has 3.55 gear, and at 60 MPH I was getting some rattle, after posting that the guys & the turbo guy said you have to reference the power valve, I will post some pics of that also. I think with deep gear it dont matter, but I only run the motor at about 2800 RPM tops.

I have some pics of the initial install of the turbo with the big 1904, there is a few throat sizes.
I will try to explain more this weekend.

I am running a carter 2bll now, pics dont seem to work, I will have to edit the.
I will be going 12 volt this spring and either fuel injection or water achohol injection is kind of the plan. This is a toy to me and at my age one truck is enough, I have sold the 38 & 47 a few years back.

Re: hotrod or not

That sounds cool although with my gears I will be lucky to reach 40 MPH with the engine screaming at 3800RPM ( it has 7.39s in it)
