Kevin,
I like new carburetor addition. Looks different than the 2 bbl John and I have but the adapter looks the same.

In our shop, we like Cummins Power. Cummins is so versatile and fits OLD IHC so well. The larger 5.9 liter six cylinder engines are a tight fit, but they do not touch anything. It takes some careful measuring and more than a little imagination to install this Cummins into an L,R or S. My friend has done several and we will be putting a 1999 24 valve into a 1953 R120 with a NVG4500, an NVG241dld transfer case and Dana 60 axles.
Our other IHC is an L110 and it is getting a Cummins 4bta with a TH475 ahead of an NVW241c transfer case and Dana 44 axles. Both of these modifications give modern disc brakes, modern bolt patterns with lots of wheel options including a few really nice looking alloy wheels.
It is all just lots of time and a few bucks. If you are smoker, stop and put that money toward your truck project. I stopped smoking over 33 years ago and I have saved nearly $60,000 in that time. That is significant truck fix money.
BTW. A Cummins 4bt is the same weight as a 220SD and the 5.9 is about 250 pounds more. The 24 Valve is 1150 pounds and 50% heavier than the 220SD and may require a custom frame. BUT, the truck will be very quick and get terrific fuel economy.
I really like your turbo installation, very clean and tidy. A perfect combination with the low compression engine. I liked it before and I like it better now

The guy I sold my 38 D-2 Years back installed the 4BTA with a twin turbo on it, I dont have any pics anymore, they were on my old CPU that crashed, each to his own the old man use to say. On utube there is many trucks done with cummins, very common now a days.

Kevin,
Whats you take on the 2bbl vs 1bbl? From what i've read turbo's do well with less carb then N/A. The smaller carb giveing better meetering over the band and the restriction not being as big a factor with forced intake. You, have run both, what do you feel?

cb89,
both carbs work pretty good, I will have to jet the 2barrel down some, it is a little rich, I have some new metering rods and jets to try this spring. The holly one barrel is easier to tune. I am always trying different things on the truck just to see. Never know, I may go back to the 1 barrel.

Kevin may be able to supply you with the info on Turbo set up, I have also heard and read a little about an outfit called :http://hamiltonfuelinjection.com/ Reference came from member nikkinutshop. I know nothing about them other than they make a fuel injection set up for IH and a few others.
