Car show surprise

If it is 1940 or older, then this is the place to talk about that hot rod.

Car show surprise

So, I went to a car show here in Wichita today. There were 300-400 cars and I only saw 1 IH, but it's a nice one.

Re: Car show surprise

The cab and front end are from the owner's grandfather's D series truck. It's sitting on a Blazer frame. The bumpers were an inspiration to me! Very well done, I thought.

And the surprise-- the owner is a cousin of mine that I hadn't seen in something like 6 years! IH runs in the family.

So I gotta ask, frame swap do you think? 4wd?
Is that K bed and rear fenders?
Absolutely beautiful truck.
Makes me wonder why I worry so much about originality sometimes.

Yes the frame, drivetrain and steering column is all from the Blazer. And yes, it's 4 wheel drive. I don't know about the bed. I'm going to spend more time looking at it another day.

Re: Car show surprise

The Bed looks a lot like a 39-40 Chevy Bed. Interesting concept.

Re: Car show surprise

The fenders and bed were probably pretty beat up. I know it was a farm truck.
