Here is one of the best on the market. Bolt in, little or no welding. http://www.heidts.com/part/mustang-2-fr ... nsion-ifs/

The MII setup I installed on my L is from Fatman Fabrications. You have a KB, but they sell for that model, too. There are several reasons I chose Fatman. They’ve been engineering and selling the MII front end kits for around thirty years. Proven quality. They offer five different levels from basic to top level show versions. And, to the best of my knowledge, are the only manufacturer to include International brand in their list of brands in advertising. Other company’s can make a kit upon request, but Fatman has units on the shelf for IHC.
Depending on your skill level, an average gear head could install the front end kit assuming you are a good, qualified welder. Fatman kits are not bolt-in. There are varying opinions about bolt-in vs weld-in. Your call on that topic.
I installed my front end, but had my certified welder son do the welding. Read the instructions to the point that you have them memorized, before you begin and follow them explicitly. You will not fail. There are photos guiding you along and their website has sample installations for help. You can even call them up if you get in a bind. Great people to deal with. They are located in Charlotte, NC. and the owner is one of the pioneering leaders in that business. He’s a mechanical engineer and very capable. I’ve met him and he’s seen my truck at a show we were both attending. He gets out to the places his products are used and gets feedback from his customers. I would recommend his products to anyone.

I used this kit. In retrospect, I would have gone with the coil overs for the front instead of the traditional spring. I used their coil over and four link kit for the rear and it rides fantastic. The front is pretty stiff for my lightweight engine and rearward placement.

Their customer service and communication has been fantastic.

I don't understand why a coil spring and separate shockabsorber would react differently from a shock absorber wrapped in a coil spring, aka coil over. Please explain.

could just be the fact that the spring is too heavy. Also, the adjust-ability of the coil over can provide some assistance with smoothing out a ride.

Coil over spring adjustment provides for some ride height adjustment only as I know it, some call it preload.
If you don't like the way your truck feels on coils or coilovers you have two options;
1) Increase or decrease the sprung mass of your truck to match the springs (some may laugh, but gains can be made in this realm depending on your project goals).
2) Increase or decrease the spring rate.

And the kicker, gotta have good shocks that are capable of controlling the springs, conventional coil or otherwise.

I really like the Fatman Fab set up for MII.
Just got a buddies chassis table moved to my shop before Christmas and will be building a complete new box tube chassis for my 49' using the Fatman stuff up front, and 4 link of my own design out back. She will be riding on air, maybe Shockwaves if I save enough pennies.

I don't see any products listed for International but am very interested in a bolt-in kit, can you provide further clarification as to which kit you recommend through this vendor (Heidts)?

Are the Fatman kits bolt-in or weld-in? With which engine are your kits paired?
