I have a 351W in my 66 Mustang and it is a lot of fun (crane cam, holley 3259-1, long tubes, t5, 373 8.8). Probably not as fun as yours I like it.

California has said it will classify a lot of what we "builders" do as "kit cars" or "new builds" which will be subject to smog testing. Like it was NEW.
At this point, after 25 years as a smog tech it just doesn't bother me. This stuff will clean up just fine with MPI or DFI and cats.
And still run scary fast...

That's cool. the guy that built mine builds race engines. He set the clutch up as a drag car. there is very little play - mostly it is engaged or it is not. took me while to get the hang of it. I also have a T5, four wheel disc brakes, rack and pinion. the rear is 9" with 3.50 gears. Also have long tubes on it. It gets your attention when I start it up. no heater. the headers radiating under the floor keep it toasty.
