Slamming a K5

Just bought a 41 KS5 flatbed, want to slam the piss out of her. I'm considering flipping the front main leaf for a (relatively) easy drop, the rear I will probably just move the hanger mounts up. Little C-notch. Anybody have any other suggestions or easier way to drop these big chassis?

HA! You are headed for some roadblocks, here.
Heavy frame "Z" is my suggestion. A lot of work.
How about a picture?

This is the idea. Looks very well done.

That's what I figured, I'm debating on slamming it, or keeping her whole and building a nice ramp bed for her. I can easily modify the existing flatbed with some steel and afew days.Image

Cool truck!
You can get that front axle dropped. "Flip" the rear axle. Most folks don't go to that much trouble on bigger trucks, though. That would only get you a few inches, though.
A "Z" is in your future for the big drop you want.
Yes! The ramp bed is a great idea! Do that and show us what you did in pictures. :)
I would like to build one, too. I suspect others here would be interested.

That is a supersingle rim and is way, way too wide to fit a K-5. You need something close to a 22.5 x 6.5 rim to fit and clear everything.

This is just an example picture, they make them 7.5 wide, also can order in different offset.

Re: Slamming a K5

Unless custom made the offset is not user specified, it is fixed offset based on rim width. The only exception is some wide rims for front supersingle tires have some choice in offset because of axle differances In this case the rims are for front only and can not be used in duel configuation, they are for heavy (20K) front axles only.
A 7.5" rim would not have a choice. its fixed at 4.26"
