I was not familiar with what " flipping the axle" meant. I Googled the ternology and HAMB cleared up that question for me.
Lots of luck with that.

Easy peasy. I don't need luck, just the wherewithall to make it happen and that's exactly what I'm going to do. What's with these boards and their tendency to poopoo everything? I don't ask if it can be done, I just do it. 90% of people are just too lazy to try anything. Watch and learn kiddies.

I don't have "a dog in this fight" I am just trying to save you some money buying rims and tires that will not fit. I strongly suggest you buy one cheap used rim and tire, to check clearance before buying new.
As spoke rims get wider, the mounting flange moves further and further outboard, moving the tire and the rest of the rim further in from the spokes. this is to maintain duel spaceing on duel wheel.
If you look at the rims now on the front, there is very little space between the tierod end and rim, up the rim width by over an inch and it will not clear.

I certainly agree with the used wheel/ tire idea.
Nikki...flipping the rear axle is ILLEGAL in Canada. So is flipping a "U", flipping the bird, so on and so forth. :)

I appreciate the input, especially when it's helpful. And especially from people like yourselves who actually know something about "things". These wheels are 100 bucks a piece new and I wouldn't have the first clue where to find a used one. So at the risk of wasting a bill, that's my only choice. Worst case I can throw 'em on the back. MM, you guys don't have a whole lot of Kustoms up there, or what I suspect may be the case is people ignore that little annoyance of a law.

DWL, my suggestion is to use as many mock ups as you need to make sure stuff looks good and fits.

On my K-7 I found that rims much wider than stock would hit the springs on the back. I had quite a selection of 20" from 5.5" to 7.5". I don't remember if 6.5 would clear or not. I do remember that the wider ones would not. It limits my K-7's to 9.00x20 tires, Any bigger and the rim is too narrow and the duel spaceing too close to keep the tires from "kissing".
As to finding used, there must be a heavy truck junkyard somewhere about? That is where I would look, for mock-up purpose the rim and tire don't need to be that good.

Kissing, EH? And they can't get that room.

It refers to the sidewalls bulging and touching at the bottom, which lead to heat and friction.... and lets just not go any further! :t1809:

Sheesh. Harlequin Romances here at Old IHC! :)

THESE are the "adaptors". I'll call them by their right name, just tell me what that is. They allow you to install "Budd" five hole 20" disc wheels where the cast spoke wheels were on the front.

Came off...K-5. I didn't keep the diff because it was seized. Long time ago, at any rate.

They will be as much to ship as what I want for them.
Missing one threaded bearing dust cover. I probably never had that.
I suspect plenty of meat left on drums.
Wheel studs appear to be in good shape.
