Running boards

Can anyone tell me if International made full length running boards for a 46 K?

Re: Running boards

No, but there were extensions for the bed.

Re: Running boards

I had a sheetmetal shop bend up some extensions for my D-30. They came out just fine. The truck had a tow body on it so you needed a place to stand. You gotta fab some brackets.
I suspect you could have the extensions made locally.

Re: Running boards

this guy was selling this at Goodguys a couple years ago. He claimed they were factory full length running boards. I have never seen others. I am not claiming they just sharing the photo.

Re: Running boards

I'm certainly not an expert on K trucks, but that looks like a Ford fender. I doubt the running boards are stock either.
This is my last old truck, unless I find another one.

Re: Running boards

I'm the last one to be complaining here with all the stuff I do. However, I DISLIKE wrong make fenders on the back. Go one more step and get IHC fenders. IHC themselves had no problem mixing and matching within IHC.

Re: Running boards

yes it was a ford bed. the running boards looked whole, with no splice visible, and I did not crawl under it to check. I did not much like the truck at all. the chop bothered me. wrong proportions.

Re: Running boards

here's a picture of a 47 KB from a car show last month (not my truck)

from looking at it, I'm guessing he grafted 2 running boards together to make a longer one
