Electrical polarity question

I'm putting a sv304 in my KB1. It is 12 volt, negative ground. I can step down 12 to 6 volts for the dash gauges (like fuel, etc.) but how does changing from positive ground to negative ground affect the gauges?

Polarity has no effect on the temp, oil and fuel gauges used in the K series. The ammeter will read backwards unless the wire are swapped on the back, but most don't end up using the ammeter.
