K Series pickup on Toyota

A friend of mine stopped by Monday to show me his daily driver. I had sold him the sheetmetal for this truck awhile back. I think it came out wonderfully. He put it on 90s Toyota pickup. He does flooring for a living, he's not really a fabricator or mechanic.
However, the truck is great!
Fuel injected Toyota 22 RE.
I have trouble with upside down pictures. Don't know why they do that.

He did a really nice job of getting the body down on the frame and your friend has chosen a top quality drivetrain. I may be just a bit partial to yota's ,,my daily driver is a 91 toyota dlx 4x4, told the wife it's the last truck I ever buy.

can't go there. I have a bias against Asian vehicles. I stay with American owned. can't do European either. just my opinion, philosophy and belief.

Those peep mirrors on the truck leave serious blind spots and not suitable for multilane traffic...ya they look cool, tried them myself on my K1 for 3 days and had enough as they are an accident waiting to happen

The convex mirrors are a lot better. I like the peep style for simplicity, looks, and no holes drilled in the sheet metal.

If you want to use peep mirrors on an International the ones I have seen and tried,,you have to notch door as the peep mirror mount is too narrow to fit over lip of door.

Keep in mind that well Chevy builds their trucks in Mexico & has an engine plant in China, most of the Japanese & Korean vehicles are now being made in the USA with US labour. I just worked on a Hyundai product the other day that said right on the door tag it was made at their plant in Georgia.

Also for any of you Dodge guy's out there you should be know that Dodge is now Italian owned... Not hating here either, I like a wide variety of vehicles from different manufacturers, just pointing out that everything is not what it seems on the surface.

Re: K Series pickup on Toyota

they are not American owned though, which is my point. I won't own a vehicle not American owned. Mopars are now Italians so have to rule them out.
