Re: 48 KB3

I like how you mounted the booster/mc. I'm planning to mount mine in the same place as the original. I hope I have room.

I'm also planning to use the original brake pedal and have some ideas now to update it to work without the clutch pedal.

Got any pics on what you are doing?

Here's a pic of what I did. I plan to use the clutch pedal for the starter. I'm going,to shorten the pedal and attach a switch under the cab on the the pedal assembly.

Here's my setup for my airbags. Left switch and gauge for the front two bags. Right switch and gauge, for the back to bags. Center switch for dumping it.

The switches are air switches.

Shifter mount mocked up. I need to pick up some hiem joints for the linkage. I want it to look as factory as possible. Once the floor is in.

Re: 48 KB3

So it's been a while.
Haven't touched the truck in months, but finally has some time the last month or so.
I have the Ford 4.6 running well now. Magna flow duals with an X pipe. Just had it piped to the muffler until this weekend. I added 6 feet of tailpipe to go through the rear end. WOW is all I can say. Sounds incredible.
Just finished the power steering pump connections. It actually works. Ford pump-Jag steering rack.
Got the brakes piped, bled and tested good once I hooked up some vacuum to the booster.
Computer wired and harness thinned out. Wrapped it all in friction tape so it looks like an old harness.
New 0 gauge cables for the starter and ground.
Fixed one rust spot on the drivers side floor. Now the passenger side and I hopefully can put the cab on for good.
Need to get the radiator pressure tested and hook that up with a tranny cooler and electric fan.
Here's a link to the build photos. Enjoy.

Re: 48 KB3

That's an ambitious project with all the mods you are doing. Are you doing any body work or leaving it as is? looks like you'll be driving it this summer

Re: 48 KB3

Thanks. It's actually been pretty straight forward. I would do it again. I'm leaving the body alone. Just fixing the VERY few holes.

Just put the cab on this weekend. Checking some fitment. Then I should be able to bolt it down for good pretty soon.
