'71 Loadstar 1600 Turn Signal Lenses

I would like to buy new lenses for the front-fender-mounted turn signals on my Loadstar. They are the almost-square kind. Does anyone know of a source for these? I would buy the turn signals complete if necessary.

Thanks,

Just so you know,that style isn't original,those were round.

There are 2 possibilities for the square lights IH used...
Do they look like this;
http://www.grote.com/products/90483-sto ... ns-yellow/

or this;
http://www.grote.com/products/91503-sto ... -lens-red/
This type has a parking light along the top,notice the line about 1" from top.

Grote numbering is simple,xxxx2 = red,xxxx3 = amber

Here's the pn's for the side marker lens in case you have/need them.
94683 goes with the 1st style.
91513 for the 2nd.

I did not see a pn for the gasket in the Grote catalog.

You can probably order them from Napa (they do cross) or O'rielly's (Grote vendor),Carquest is another or if you have a truck dealer nearby try them.Make shouldn't matter but,bring a lens along to match.

If for some reason neither lens is the style you have,post a pic of yours.

O'Reilly's says they can order them and have them in 4-5 days.

Thank you, Scott!

Postscript to turn signal lens story: I ordered the lenses from O'Reilly's. When they arrived, they cost $20 and the shipping charge was another $10. There's gotta be a better way!

I'm sure there is a "better way".
You didn't say which lenses were the right ones?
Lights like these are not make specific so there are many sources for them and the lenses. Truck dealers parts depts. for instance. Besides Internationals I've driven many that have the same light,Mack R models,Peterbilt 330,Kenworth W900 to name a few. I've even seen them in some of the larger truck stops.
Sometimes buying online ends up being cheaper,sometimes not. How about the local NAPA,do they charge shipping on ordered items? My last parts counter job was at a Napa and they didn't charge shipping for parts that came from the normal DC since it didn't cost them extra. Might be worth checking into for parts that must be ordered.

Scott:

Sorry....the correct lenses are the first of the two you posted.

I didn't mean to sound ungrateful...just knocked flat by the cost. I'll try NAPA next time, and appreciate the info. Shipping has gotten a lot more expensive in the last ten years or so, and old guys like myself are going to have to adapt, I guess.

Many thanks for your help.

I didn't take it as being ungrateful Steve,I totally agree with you on shipping prices these days. I've read one reason is to "help cover" the cost of pulling an item from the bin. I thought that is why they have people whose job is just that? Plus most ship UPS or FedEx etc. which are more costly than the good old USPS. Time wise I see no advantage,I ordered some refrigerator parts and got them in 2 days via the USPS,the vendors primary shipper.
The shipping cost was one reason I chose that vendor,I checked others who shipped with "the others" and shipping would have cost close to what the parts cost. :o

So,it pays to shop around no matter what it is.
