loadstar parking light lens

I have a 67 Loadstar with the parking light lens below the headlights.
Does anyone know if the 57-58 Chevrolet Truck lens is the same thing?

There were 2 styles, one seems more common and is probably what you have.
From what I found the answer to your question is no.

Here's the "common" one.

Above site is in Australia,he makes repro's of good quality.

U.S. based

One of Pacific Supply Group's sites which are notoriously pricey IMHO.
FWIW,
As far as I know it was not a Pur-Lux product as listed. Pur-Lux makes driving & fog lights,and are still in business. Just so you don't go looking for it by that brand.

The IH pn also comes up in the NSN system,a number of "surplus" sites list it.
You'd have to inquire with one to confirm. Most give free quotes.

The other optional light

For that lens I would try this place,others here have bought parts there and were pleased with them.

The Chevy lens

I took the size listed by Aussie Ed (mm's) and converted it...
150mm = 5.905
82mm = 3.228

Looks like it's larger than the Chevy lens.

Re: loadstar parking light lens

Whoaaaa. Thanks a lot for you input here with lens mania! I sure do appreciate your sharing this stuff with me.

Last Thursday I was at Anderson Brothers in Eugene Oregon. They have a reasonably good supply of Loadstar and S series cabs and related stuff. I was able to hunt and find a couple running board assemblies, complete off of two different trucks. They charged me a hundred for the pair and they pulled them while I waited.

If I can figure out how to post a photo, this week, I will, me thinks y'all gonna enjoy the pic.

Re: loadstar parking light lens

No problem on the info, I know Loadstars like the back of my hand. Need anything else just ask.

Sounds like you got lucky finding useable running boards,they were known to rot out in just a few years,we always had a pair in stock plus the brackets.

Before you install them I suggest a little PM prepping so they don't rust out. Since it's a rather small job here's what I'd use...
http://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalo ... -reformer/

I use this a lot,being on the west coast of FL. everything that can rust does and fast! Then I'd use a bed liner because they get good n' hard and should resist road dings better.

There's a thread on posting pix in the "How do I" section.
Personally I like this...

It's free and automatically resizes pix for forum posting. You also have the choice of posting the full size image or thumbnail,which enlarges when clicked on. I've used others and this is the easiest to use.
