I'm not really a Loadstar fan but that one looks pretty darn good!

Re: My project

I thought that bumper was "different". Although the optional flat Loadstar bumper would look really good in chrome, kinda like a "Texas" style big rig bumper.

Jared, I guess it's a matter of taste,I like Loadstars for many reasons. For the lifespan of the series they were better looking than any of the others in it's class, the others look like a shoebox with a cab, grille and headlights added.

Re: My project

Thank you. It has turned out to be everything I hoped for. I recently bought 2x6 cedar for the decking. Kind of a soft wood for that but it looks great ( smells even better)and I don't plan to haul anything on it.

Re: My project

Absolutely bee u tee full! Image

The running boards really give it good side look, sooo much better than the original black ones. Too bad it doesn't have disc wheel, some polished 10 hole Alcoa's would look sweet!

What year is it? I just noticed the front turn signal's,they were only used a short time but I like them more than the round or big square types. Actually they should have used the style the AC,BC and early 1900/2000 Fleetstar's had, I like how they look too.
Is that open square in the deck for a goose neck? A drop in/over cover with the same wood might be a nice touch, plus it'll keep the crap out of there.

Re: My project

Thank you.
It's a 1968. I had the running boards made locally using the old ones as a pattern. I've notice that these signal lights are quite uncommon but I like them too. I had them rechromed when I did the rest. The square is a checker plate cover over a dropped 5th wheel ball.

Re: My project

Kinda figured it was about that year, only recall seeing those lights on Loadstars & Fleetstar 2000's (I think). Hope ya never need lenses, they're probably a biatch to find.
