radio

I am hoping to put a radio in my metro van. Something surface mounted. Im just curious if anyone has any experience with a retro looking radio
model they liked and where they decided to run the antenna?

Re: radio

I installed a CD player in my 1965 Mustang using a under dash mount from an old Mercury Comet.

I just hollowed out the center of this and mounted my CD player into it.
This is better than modifying the stock dash.

Or retro sound has a nice looking radio if you want to keep the stock location. If your truck even had that option.

Re: radio

Are there above-the-windscreen (overhead) compartments? Could a radio be installed above the driver?

Re: radio

yes - there is that compartment that runs full width above the windshield - easy access to fully hide a unit or to have it visible and in a hanging bracket.
Just curious what others have done...
