1951 Metro- The Restoration Begins

I've started the restoration of my 1951 Metro. If you want to check out my progress you can follow my blog. http://www.1951snapon.blog.com/
Check it out and let me know what you think. Looking for a few things if anyone can help. I need the bumpers and where I can find the weather stripping on the front of the sliding doors.

Very Cool!
Sounds like you're going to do it right. And you have an excellent truck to start with- looks pretty rust and dent free. Good luck with your project.

The truck is in pretty good shape and pretty complete except for the rear bumper and the front bumper needs a lot of work.

What a delightful project. If I had the space, I would have a Metro in a New York Minute. Every time I see a Metro, I fall in lust. I'm thinking something like a vintage, period correct, simple camper/RV. Now if I bought the house next door and built a big garage, hmm mm.

^Wouldn't that solve two issues in one transaction? I had a neighbor I would have loved to bought out. I moved 22 years ago, and now the neighbor is my son's problem. :rotflol:

I have stopped running away to avoid "those persons ". I've been in this house for 35+ years, now and after being Mister fix-it for too long I've kicked them all out. I wasn't getting paid in cash or respect anyway. I am the worst neighbor you will ever have, only if you provoke me.

For me, it was more that we found a Bigger house, better schools(at the time) and the Wife liked the House. Most all the Bad neighbors are gone from the area of the old house. We tend to let the Neighbors know that if they do Not bother us, WE will Not bother them. Besides, my son has long hair, beard, and Tat's, Rides a Harley. He is also in the Process of building a 6' fence around the Back yard(tall fences make good neighbors. ;)
