1951 Metro- The Restoration Begins

Congratulations on your Metro being featured in a top shelf publication. It's fitting considering it is a top shelf restoration.

Was at a car show today and everybody was saying that they read about the truck in the Hemming's Magazine. Hasn't hit the stands yet but here is a picture of the cover.

cool. I take that magazine. have not read it yet. I am about two months behind on my magazines.

If a person is not in a hurry and Must-Have the latest issue of this magazine, it can be had as a pdf. This will not likely give a person the latest issue, but if that person is behind in their reading anyway, so what?
There are several videos on YouTube explaining how to get the pdf downloader for free. Put as much as you think you need on a "stick" and save it for future reference.
I gave away a 30 plus year collection of Street Rodder magazines and others. I would have to guess the original cash outlay may have been greater than $5k. The tech in these magazines is replaced by newer and better so quickly. The paper will not wipe or flush and we are not allowed to burn anything.
My Dad used to say, "Stop the little leaks and you will not have to top-it-up so often."

You sound like my wife... But she's only two years behind on her magazines.

Thanks guys, It is pretty cool. It was a lot of hard work doing this truck and to get the recognition for car people makes it worth it. My next goal is to see if I can be excepted into the Art Center Car Classic Car Show with this truck... Wish me luck

Just happened to be in the neighborhood and I figured what better place to get a copy ? Very nice article, by the way.

I haven't received my copies from them and it's not on the stands out here yet, it feels like everyone's dancing with my girl except for me.
