ps: in the video, maybe the little kids running after it at the end thought it was an ice cream truck?

Those kids ran along side the truck the whole way around the park.

The mother was taking pictures so she would have something to show her pod. One of the mechanics I worked with drove his red Lamborghini Countach to the Company show and shine. Someone, possibly the same person, had opened the driver's door and put their kids in the car for pictures. There were three unwashed ankle biters fighting over who was to sit in the driver's seat. I kept the doors locked on our R120.
The Model "A" has a supercharged Mercury Flathead V8.

I could tell you some stories about that but no, that was not a problem at this show. First it was $30 a person just to see the cars, so you have to really want to see the cars at that price, so you don't have the clueless people that just stubble onto a car show and don't know the edict . Plus there was a group of volunteers stationed at each class of car to make sure no cars were touched, like I said there were a lot of cars over a million dollars.

It's been awhile since I've posted anything, but it's been busy working on the shop. I did do a photo shoot for Vintage Truck Magazine which will come out next year. I'll leave you with a couple of photos.

Sweet. What a deserving reward. I never tire of looking at your metro, especially photos like this. Congrats!

We kind of stopped traffic on Route 66. I thought it would be nice to shoot there and help out a new Museum.

I'll bet. Good cause. You brought me pleasure looking at the warm dry sunshine as I look out my window at the falling snow. Know any good realtors there? lol

My wife grew up in "Rancho Cucamonga" (Etiwanda). That gas station puts chills up my spine. I passed its location hundreds of times.
Take the color out of those photos and it could be 1955.
Just so cool! Congratulations! You've succeeded in taking us back in time!

I am working on a 1959 Metro and need to have my gages done. Can you share with me the contact information for the person that did your gauges? Kirk T. Alva OK.

I have everything done to put on the engine, ie: Clutch, Trans, Distributor, Coil. Still working on the exhaust, so if anyone knows where I could find a period looking muffler that would help a lot. As soon I get it running I will update my blog... I promise. Until then I did get my gauges back and installed them in the dash, so I'll leave you with that.Image

I forget who they were, something industries in Minnesota I think. Took a while for them to do and they were expensive ($1,700 for the two gauges). At the time, they were the only ones I found that could do the art work for the gauges, it may be cheaper now that they have my artwork.
