Re: What's New 2020 Metro Maniacs

What size are your rims? If they are even size, 16-17 ect and not Half size 16.5-17.5 tires should not be that hard. They are more than likely split Ring rims, still used on farm equipment and some trucks, just about any shop that does big rigs and farm style equipment should be able to handle them. As CB can probably attest to, a person can change one of those "in the field" I have done that in the past myself. You do need the proper tools. If you do not want bias ply tires, you can get flaps and radial tubes to go inside radial tires on those rims, as long as they are whole number rims. I currently have 5 16" lock ring rims/old tires and 7 17" lock ring rims/old tires, located by Boise Idaho, price is good for pickup only. Free!

I am curious. How is your METRO project going? What part of the country do you live in?

I did buy a nice kit recommended. The hubby likes it. now if I can only get him to carve out some time to the Metro that would be nice. :)

I do not use my MASTERCOOL tool all that often, for flaring tube. BUT, I give it a hug now and then and I feel better.
I am looking forward to seeing more of your METRO-MAGIHC.

There is nothing about a Mero that you could not learn to do well. My daughter is a Red Seal Mechanic and now teaches in a High School.
