Thanks, I'm glad you like them. I thought they were pretty cool but then again I'm a little bias when it comes to the truck.

I've got the Tshirt and I like it. It took me 25 minutes to get to Point Roberts and 3 hours to get back home. Motor vehicle collisions were blocking north bound traffic over the crossings of the South arm of the Fraser river. It was a nice day for a ride in the country.

Dino, can you send me in the right direction for a users manual for this vintage wheel balancer. I picked this unit from a Craigslist seller. I plan on giving the balancer a decent restoration. I may keep it or .................
I did and will continue to Google for the manual. I think the model # is WBK-2b. I will have a better look at my purchase, tomorrow. By the time I got home, it was too dark to see in the back of the truck.
BTW, I really like the T-shirt.

Re: 1951 Metro- The Restoration Begins

I found this on another forum. From someone who apparently used one regularly. Hope it helps.

I had one a while back, after you set up your wheel with the cones and shaft, set the assembly up on the stand, let the heavy side settle to the bottom, attach bar with sliding weight vertically (up and down) and snug set screw, then turn wheel and bar assembly 1/4 turn clockwise so the bar is now horizontal, now slide the weight to the right until the weight balances the whole assembly, now take note of the reading in oz. Return weight to center and attach the pointer gizzy from the right side (light side) onto the sliding weight, making sure the weight is in the center rotate pointer one direction until it stops and mark the tire with a chalk then rotate pointer the opposite direction until it stops and make another mark, these marks are where you attach the weights on both sides of the rim. Example, lets say it took 3/4 of an oz to balance tire with the sliding weight and you made both your marks, now you attach 4, 3/4 weights, 2 on the front side of rim and 2 on the inside. How's that, clear as mud? Good luck! I used mine for many years.

Re: 1951 Metro- The Restoration Begins

Thanks Paul, I've never played with one of those and I can not get a manual for one, but sometimes they come up on eBay. These are from the 60s and I was going to put one on the truck. Instead I found an "Anal-O-Scope" in really good condition and the name was odd enough to put it on the truck. I still have to restore it but I've been working on my latest project. Since the truck is to tall to fit on a normal garage, I've rented a 1500 sq ft warehouse to put my cars in, but I'm making the inside look like a 50s service station. I also have some big news about the truck but I'm going to wait until a have more information... Just a tease

Well that tease wasn't long enough, but anyway... The truck will be featured in the May 2016 issue of Hemmings Classic Car magazine. There will be a three page spread on it as their Classic Truck profile. Pretty cool

Well, CONGRATULATIONS!!! :t0201: :t0201: :t0213: :t0213: :yay: :yay: Quite the honor. I don't get Hemmings, but I may just need to locate one! Your truck turned out so nice, it was only a matter of time!
<Anal-O-Scope. HHHHMMMMM, Are you sure that's not some kind of medical instrument used for the sensitive regions of the lower mid-section? Certainly sounds like one.>

I think these are called an ultrasound now. A nice companion to a DRE.
