Possible "big six" Metro rims solution?

The biggest stumbling block so far to my little AM120 project is trying to find a cost-effective, long term solution to the 'big six' hub pattern, and the lack of wheels for these little buddies. I really don't want to throw down $250/tire (after shipping) from Coker tire or Universal Vintage…I mean, I will, but I'd rather not.

A buddy of mine passed this onto me, and I was wondering if any more experienced folk out there would think that it would work:

Descriptions says they have a 6x7.25 bolt pattern, so it should fit, yes? For the list price i'm almost tempted to just order one to see if it works. They're originally for late 80's to 90's Toyota pickups, so their carrying capacity might be an issue.

It looks like it would lower the hight of the van, but I measured it out and it seems like it would still work.

Any insight from my elders over here?

It is a 14" wheel and don't think it will fit over your brake drum.

If I were close, I would like t measure the OEM wheel center then look for a different wheel that the IHC centre could be welded into.
Another solution may be having a set of GM 17" alloy wheels with six bolt holes redrilled between the holes to accept the IHC six bolt.
There are a few after market wheels with 6 bolt holes that may work better.
Try STOCKTON WHEELS for custom wheels.
I would change axles, but that is just my way.
I would rather have tools I do not need than to need tools I do not have

Check with these guys that are listed in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=699

Another option that I thought about when I still had my metro was to put axles from a pickup under it. Just a thought.
