Hope i am in the right forum but i am looking to replace my split rims on my 1979 international 200 with regular rims. Less work and safer lol.
does anybody did this before and if so which of the new brands would fit as a replacement?

If you have an S medium or heavy it would have either disk (Budd) or spoke (Dayton) wheels, both are available in tubeless. Tube type will 20" rubber, 22.5" tubeless is what would replace them, so you need rims and tires both.
I am assuming you are in North America, if elsewhere you might have 24" tube types, and I don't know of a replacement for those.

Ok, then you don't have S series, medium from the late 70's, you have a light line. What is the exact model and year?
If it has 8 lug wheels you might find something if it has 6 lug than not likely.
Nothing wrong with lock ring wheels.

I do have a 1975 international 200. it is just 2x4 with dually on the rear axle. 8 nuts wit left and right threats. 16 inch tires. round here they getting more and more out of the split rims and if not they charge you an arm and leg to get it change.

Measure across one lug hole to lug hole (To get the bolt circle dia) and measure the center opening, you should be able to find a 16" rim from an 80's truck (Ford, Dodge or Chevy) that would match. Those would be drop center wheels and take tubeless tires. There should be a metric radial that will be close to your 16" tube types. You'll have to check and make sure the drop center wheels will clear the drums.

Your wheel lug/bolt pattern is: 8 on 6.5" .......Standard pattern of the day for 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks.
