Hi Everyone!! Happy New Year!
So we know that the IH Nationals show has moved to Historical Waco Field in Troy. OH Now I suppose you all want to know about hotels and the BBQ……well----I have no idea---call John????? I resigned and have no clue as to what you are talking about or want to know…………………………………
Ok now that I have had my fun
I have spent some considerable time in Troy talking with hotels and the following is what I have contracts for. To let you know I had a great time talking with Josh and Shila and staff, they are all very excited to meet us and see what we are all about. I did take some time to explore Troy and this little town has many things to offer. I found out that the weekend we will be there is the start of their County FAIR and it sounds like an adventure. I want to go see all the Barn Quilts that are around (only 60 of them) that is a day all by itself if you want to see them. There is this small locally owned bakery that is awesome (had lunch there) and a wonderful Italian Restaurant that would love to see all of us (the owner is very friendly). I would like to shop the downtown historical area too. There are many more sights to see and the roundabout in the middle of Troy is gorgeous and Diana (visitor’s office) said there would possibly be a free concert there on Friday night. If you want to explore the Miami county site to see for yourself here is the web page: http://www.visitmiamicounty.org.
Now for the hotels: We have contracts for the Fairfield Inn & Suites and Residence Inn (both Marriott Hotels) and for the Hampton. Between these three hotels is a field and parking lot which will give us the room we need for the BBQ and Auction. If you want to see the area please Google earth the addresses and you will see what I mean. The Hampton is undergoing a major renovation in the rooms and they are adding an additional 30 rooms to the Hotel at this time. Shila was hesitant to give us all rooms and they not are ready so we have only 50 at this time and possibly more lately.
These rooms are guaranteed only until June 26, 2013 so call ASAP.

Re: NATS 2013

Does anyone know why the IH Nats have changed location after all these years? We had a great turnout in 2012 hope this does not change that.

I don't know Terry.
I will check with Mary and see if she knows what caused it.

Re: NATS 2013

John has been looking for a different Venue for a few years.
From reading Mary's email (the one I cross posted here) it looks like the move should be good for the whole family with all the other events going on that weekend.

Re: NATS 2013

Is the NATS worth the trip? I would be coming from Alberta. Last summer went to RPRU, that was awesome. There was 1100 tractors there, parts, etc. Does the truck show get that amount of vehicles? The farm has been pretty much IHC product(tractor&trucks) from 1946 to present time. Thanks for any info.

Re: NATS 2013

redturbo,
I doubt that the Nats reach that number of entries. It is primarily a Scout & light trucks. Check out this link it has pictures of past shows and will give you an idea of what the show is.

Re: NATS 2013

Sorry if I offend anyboyd, Im not into Scouts. That type of 4x4 doesn't really insterest me much. I like the look of the K, L series IHC trucks. Farm used to have a L-180 grain truck(sold), still have the L-110 from 1952. Just got a L-110 from 1950. Would there be 250 vehicles? Guess it doesn't really matter, Dad & myself have planned on coming to see the show anyways. RPRU got to be abit overwhelming with the amount to see in a short period of time. Dad used to have a mid 60's 1/2ton also. So always looking to see shows that have Ih product.

Re: NATS 2013

Not offended at all. There are plenty of IH models to go around for everyone. I will say that if it wasn't for the Scouts Club and their passion for them we would have not place to show our pickups and heavy trucks on a national scale. At least in this area (Ohio). This is just my best guess, but I believe we had about 50 to 60 trucks at the show this past year.
