NATS 2013

Thanks Terry. There is no doubt the scouts carry the load. 50 to 60 trucks is a good turn out. I noticed that this yr is geared towards the 50's yrs. That interests us, plus I can look @ other IH products on what would be a good donor V-8 vehicle for the 1950 L-110 planning on kinda hot rodding. Scott

Forgot, does the NATS ever move around? RPRU(ihc tractors) moves ever yr to different spot. Or is the NATS in Springfield area cause of the plant?

No the show usually does not move around like Red Power Round Up. It is moving this year to a new location. Not sure why other than the promoter has wanted to change to a better location for some time. I don't think it is tied to the Springfield Plant in any way. That was my original concern that people would not get the word and attendance of trucks may fall off as it has been at Springfield, Oh fairgrounds for so many years. The RPRU will be just 12 miles from me this year so I will get a chance to take it in. You have to be a member as I understand it to show a truck.

It's over 1800 miles oneway, so I wont likely ever being showing a truck. It would be a cool experince, but cost & hassle of crossing the border. Still plan to fly in & come to the show thou. Its cool rpru is same area for you, just dont go saturday. They pack up all the tractors & go home.

Hi Everyone!! Just wanted to update you all on the rooms and such!! The Hampton Inn is nearly full-with only a few rooms left-so if you want one there please call them. The Fairfield has some left however they will go very quickly so if you are hesitating please call them and make your reservation. Looks like we will have a wonderful turnout and a great time to be had by all--it is hard to wait that long to see everyone!!!! I am still working on the BBQ stuff and as soon as I know what is needed to help out I will let you know.

Hi Everyone!! Hope everyone is doing awesome! I wanted to update you on rooms and such---we only have...... 62 days ........to get reservations into the hotels. The Fairfield Inn & Suites have 50 rooms left, Residence Inn has 40 and the Hampton Inn has around 10 left (maybe). The dates these are reserved for are August 8,9 and 10, 2013. We are staying at the Fairfield Inn and we are staging the BBQ out of the Fairfield because of the construction at the Hampton. There is a huge field between the two hotels and we are able to walk and stage the BBQ there (as long as there is no rain). Everything for the show is going great and I am hoping to get Dirk up in an open airplane to take pictures of the all the IH vehicles that will be there on Saturday. There will be vehicle games to play this year--Jason Roedl and the Bi-State Binders have this under control--I can't wait to play .
The BBQ is going slower than I want it to but--so far the goetta, turkeys, water, hot dog buns, hamburger buns and the hot dogs have been donated, still working on the hamburgers, salads, chips, condiments and paper goods--hey--I still have 104 days til I leave to go to Troy for the show ......lots of time right!!!!
We have enjoyed the shows we have been to this year already and are looking forward to seeing more of you at the near future shows besides Nationals.

Good Morning to all those friendly IH people;

Have you booked your room for Nationals??? You haven't??? Well, what are you waiting for???? rain,hail,sleet ,snow.......You now have only 19 DAYS left to book them, so do it today and then you don;t have to worry about where you will be staying 2 days before the show . Just thought I would send a reminder out for those procrastinators .

How would you like to participate in a a parade from the show grounds to the Historic Downtown Troy Square with a police escort,pictures will be taken, have an Italian Dinner and then a free concert on the square??? Interested yet?? Yes, all these things will be happening on the Friday evening of our Nationals weekend. If you are interested in the dinner please let me know so reservations can be made. The restuarant is very good and right on the square. There are other restuarants available and very good also if you don't like Italian.
These are just some of the things planned for the weekend---I will fill you in as more are confirmed or just happen by.

I am so excited to see everyone in our new location. As for the BBQ I will need your help in getting desserts and salads for the meal. If you would like to bring anything else you are more than welcome to do so also. I am still working on getting the hamburgers, paper goods and such donated---Hey, I still have 62
DAYS till I leave for Nationals---I got this!! (I think)

We are hoping to have the IH Metro up and running (thanks to Mr Rick Riley for all his help so far) so we will see.

You guys are so much fun to see and communicate throughout the year--even thoug there are many miles between us it sure seems like family to us. Once a year is not enough time to catch up sometimes. Have fun during the coming weeks and keep us updated with any new IH's you just happen to purchase!!!!!
