2019 Syracuse Nationals
Posted: Fri Jul 26, 2019 9:04 pmI've been to the Syracuse Nat's numerous times as a spectator,but after some prodding by a friend, decided to take the '49 and show it.What took place this past weekend is by far the most awesome experience I've had in all my years around cars and trucks. After spending Friday viewing hundreds of spectacular rides we returned to our truck to find a letter on the seat notifying us that the '49 had been nominated as one of 140 vehicles out of the over 8000 entries for the Designer's Dozen Award. Saturday we were directed to park in The Builder's Block , where the finalists would be picked for 2019. The winners were to be announced at 4:00 pm , and at 3:00 I got a call to move my truck to make room for the presentation. I found it strange that when I got there that no one else was moving their vehicles. It was then that that judges told me the call was a joke and that I had become one of this years winners of The Designer's Dozen Award! While it's an honor to be recognized at this level, I'm also happy that the IH community received some attention too.
