S120 Toy

A vendor at the Red Power Roundup last month had this near-perfect S120.

I may never find another one this nice, especially in colors that match my truck's original colors, but I just couldn't come close to the asking price of $550.

Yep, I feel your pain, Dean. I have to agree with your decision, though. I've been wanting a 50's/60's gas pump to put in front of the shop, and maybe some signage, but prices are crazy. Thank you,Mike Wolf and Frank Fritz.

RPRU 2012, I found a original box for my L series toy truck. Guy wanted $220 for the cardboard box! Paid less than half of that for the L toy truck. Image it will be only box will ever see, oh well. The S looks in good shape, but price seems a lot high.

Re: S120 Toy

I saw an A series IH toy truck on Ebay the next week. The paint had some chips, it was at $130 but the auction was not over. I don't know what price it ended at. I suspect that the S120 owner thought that if they were going to get a premium price anywhere, it would be where lots of IH fans were.

Re: S120 Toy

Sometimes buyers are there own worst enemy. My son and I had 10 L&R wheels at a swap meet with a make an offer sign on them. My son accepted and offer of $500 for the lot. We gave the guy our last five IH hubcaps to ease my conscience a little. The wheels could have been free because they were going into the company scrap bin.

Re: S120 Toy

I miss read that as $120.00 for the toy, wow jump on that!, $500 seems high, but it's a cross collectable, the Tru Scale collectors love these because they are rare. and we want them too,

seen some pretty beat up ones go for good money on ePay.

the Product Miniature plastic ones used to be affordable, they sky rocketed too, hard to find not warped.
