TAILGATE

I know this is not an IHC tailgate, but, this should be a wakeup for anyone wanting to buy or sell. I bought an NOS MERCURY 1949 tailgate for $50. I sold it for $1000. Today that same TG could sell for double what I got.

I see that Dennis Carpenter sells re- pops for $300.00. I wonder if the availability of those will keep an original Ford tail gate from going into the stratosphere price wise? There will always be well heeled enthusiasts willing to pay a lot for good original sheet metal, I suppose that's what drives the market.
