Re: '50 L-120 - PA

I’m wondering why this ‘50 has exposed door hinges? We’ve been told, through the years, that the 1950 trucks were produced with the hinges “hidden” in the doors and not visible externally. Unless this truck is of late 1950 or an early 1951, when the change to the externally visible hinges took place, something seems amiss.
L110 owner since 1974, finally rebuilt 2014.

Chassis number should help to determine "year" it was produced. Is It possible that it has been converted from hidden to exposed hinge?

The hidden hinges change to exposed was mid year 1950, somewhere I have chassis number of when that change happened,

It's been kind of accepted that 1950 hidden 1951 up exposed, but is was actually very early on that they decided the hidden hinges were a bad design,

It hard to be sure from the photo but it looks to me like that is the mirror mounting clamp only.
The type that slips under the door skin and use allens to tighten. ??
