Might send him a note and let him know that hood will NOT fit the 53-54 R model trucks, wrong grill. Still not a bad price, I have two of the L hoods myself.

I like the cantilever hinges IHC used in the "L" truck hoods. I take the "L" hood bracketing out and install it into "R" hood. The "L" inner-fender aprons must be used. with the "L" hardware.
The "L" design is much more stable than the later "R" Look carefully and the cantilever hinges can be seen

And a close comparison of the front, lower portion of the hood reveals the difference in the hood, other than the hinge/latching mechanisms. The L uses two latching/hinge points on each side, while the R hood only has one latch/hinge per side. The hood shown for sale clearly has the two latch/hinge brackets per side.
L110 owner since 1974, finally rebuilt 2014.
