This is an interesting piece I found on Craigslist-

https://tulsa.craigslist.org/pts/d/inte ... 88904.html

Web search seems to indicate that it fit an IH K11 truck with an FAB/RD/Red series engine. Does that look right?

Advertising literature says "Saves a day from Chicago to LA".

I see these listed every now and then, they are for the RD 450 (I believe) I was wondering if you could section it to make it fit a SD motor?

BRJ, are all the ones you've seen marked K11? This one looks to have clear markings.

There are 4 of them on ePay right now,

They all have different markings, some just have code like this one, others list specific engines,
But all are for larger engines,

One has 250 on it so May fit BLD 250?

I don't know a ton about these other than I've never seen one for the smaller SD, BD motors

One listed for K-6 and 7 another stamped BLD269 IHC, so I think there are two for the medium six.
I read years ago about a guy hauling steel plate from Buffalo to Chicago with a K 7 and 40,000 lbs on the flatbed. Said he was way overweight for the time, and did the move after dark, must have been a long trip!
At right around 10 MPG I have no plans for something like that on my 269's I think you'd be lucky to see 5's.
I knew an old car hauler that hauled Ford's out of Chicago. To haul for Ford, you had to drive a Ford. He said they all were cracking blocks back then overworking the car engines in the trucks. One guy put an IHC under the hood of the Ford, and never had a problem, don't know if it was a BLD or RED. He just had to be sure not to open the hood until he was off the property.

yea, that one that has IHC 269 on one end has IHC 250 on the other, so must fit BLD motor,

I think the only thing these would be good for is bling under the hood,

on the GMC site they have single two, three, four, five, and six carb intakes available, lots of fittings and linkage issues, Bling
